In 2014 I did the visual identity for the comic, The Wicked & The Divine by Jamie McKelvie (artist) and Kieron Gillen (writer). It’s about 12 teens who discover that they are gods with fame and supernatural powers – but they will die within two years. Once I’d brought the identity and design system for the layouts to market, I hired Sergio Serrano to take over layouts on the trade paperbacks when my job and an overseas move were forcing me to cut back my side project hours.

 

Years later at the finale party after Comic Con in New York City 2020, I was shocked to walk into the room and see my work all over the walls. It had carried this crew a long way. Love you guys!
